What would have been the fate of Shahjahan’s Taj Mahal had the emperor lived in the present times? That’s the theme of this hilarious burlesque. The persistent Shahjahan, in no mood to accept excuses for delays, sends the somnolent Govt. construction department into tizzy. The engineers and overseers get down to business to fulfill emperor’s wish, as if they really could. An outbreak of activities ensues but in typified sarkari manner. Tenders are issued. Contractors are hired. But, does the project see light of the day? Or, does the mogul emperor, fast forwarded in the time, become a victim of the system himself?
