Salads form the first course of our food and is also an important part of the meal. You can customize a salad endlessly, add your family’s favourite ingredient or splurge on quality toppings for your guests and it will be a good salad – very good. But if the dressing isn’t great, your salad won’t be the best it can be.
NBT Rangmanch Club in association with IHA (Indian Hotel Academy) brings you a delightful workshop on the art of salad dressing by professional experts! In this workshop, the experts would teach you how to give your weeknight salads a makeover with new dressings, how to make it look beautiful & rich while keeping its health quotient intact!
The workshop would be conducted by Chef Atul Shanker Mishra, Executive Chef, The Royal Plaza, New Delhi. Chef Atul has more than 19 years of work experience with renowned hotels such as Hotel Uppal’s Orchid, Hotel Intercontinental Eros (Nehru Place), Hotel The Grand (Vasant Kunj). He is also a certified member of World Association of Chef Societies. He has won numerous awards most prominent of which are Best participating Executive Chef at Aahar 2011 by I.C.F., Gold medal for snow carving in Sapporo (Japan) in the Feb.2003, Gold medal for Veg and Fruits Carving in year 2002 and 2005.
This would be a professional workshop with small batch size where chef would show you all the steps in classroom as well as kitchen.
The workshop would cover:
Caesar salad
A salad of romaine lettuce and croutons dressed with Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, anchovies, garlic, and black pepper. It is often prepared table side.
Hawaiian salad
Drain pineapple, reserving juice, carrots, pineapple and cheese, mayonnaise, sugar and salt and pepper to taste. Dress with vinaigrette.
Wardrobe salad
It is a salad of walnuts, vinegar , with salt and pepper, radicchio, apples .
Health Food Salad
It is a low calories salad using yogurt in dressing.
