NBT Rangmanch Club in association with Kala Drishti brings to you an educative workshop about the basics of visual art (paintings, sculptures and architecture). right from the time the world’s civilization started.

The attendees would get information about the development of art right from the cave age, namely, cave paintings. to the art in religious places like churches, mosques and temples and Buddhist art.

They would also be taught about the art in the medieval ages i.e. 14th century onwards, covering renaissance period in Europe, the mughal and rajput art in India, the tombs and palaces of the mughal period (India). With the beginning of the 20th century, the modern art saw its culmination with artists like Picasso, Dali, monet and matisse. In India, we saw the rise of the progressive group with artists like hussain, souza, raza and raja ravi verma.

The lecture would be followed by demonstrative class which would cover making of artistic decorative and utility items with items of daily use like crockery, newspaper, cans, bottles, rags and clips etc.
