About the Show:

When an emotionally inter-dependent father-daughter duo encounters an overtly optimistic woman, sparks are sure to fly! A difficult and eccentric Amber Sharma (Varun Badola) is a single parent to an ambitious 24-year-old daughter Niya (Anjali Tatrari). While they don’t share a conventional and a quintessential father-daughter relationship, they’ve found solace in each other’s company and are wading through life, one day at a time, in their own unique manner. Guneet Sikka (Shweta Tiwari) on the other hand, is an independent and enterprising woman who, even though wounded emotionally, is always optimistic. With no connection or relation between them, how will Guneet end up adding the much needed ‘tadka’ in the life of this father-daughter duo? While both Amber and Guneet are lonely, will they hit it off or is this the beginning of an end? While the three of them individually, stand out in the crowd, and when put together, make for a very compelling narrative.

Set against the backdrop of Ghaziabad, ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’ is a progressive story that questions whether there a defined age to find a companion in life only because log kya kahenge? The story charts the sensibility of a young adult who is sensitive towards her father’s needs and wellbeing, thereby accepting love and marriage happening at any age.

While we are already 3 weeks into the show, the track will now highlight Guneet entering Amber’s house as a tenant. So we are very keen to explore the Landlord-tenant relationship which is a topic of discussion across many gatherings.
