Painting is a simple hobby which if given proper honing and exposure can help you take it to a next level altogether! Be it decorating your home walls or creating  a design element in fabrics, this art is not only creatively satisfying but can help you earn a livelihood as well.

Indian Traditional Art is culturally very rich & can give inspiration to create various artifacts which hold relevance in these modern times as well.

In order to help our members hone this art & expand it to different areas, NBT Rangmanch Club brings a special workshop series on Indian Traditional Art. The 2nd workshop in this series would cover GOND ART.

GOND ART is a beautiful folk art of Madhya Pradesh, traditionally created by the tribals. This mystical art form is created by putting together dots and lines. The imaginative use of the line imparts a sense of movement to the still images.

One of the distinctive elements is the use of signature patterns that are used to infill the larger forms on the canvas. A certain sense of balance and symmetry can be observed in the pattern used, such as spiral forms along with trees, leaves, animals and human figures. Painted in several bright colors, the placement of motifs showcasing village life and the blending of human figures with rituals and nature depict the Gonds inherited skills and creativity.

This art can be used for both wall paintings/decorative items as well as fabric design as well.

These days lot of artists are selling their warli artifacts on e portals such as amazon and commanding a good price. Rightly so, since this art is not only innovative & interesting but also very classy.

In this workshop you would learn everything about this art, right from its history, to the basics of this art. This workshop would also help you to hone your skills in this field & create your own art pieces!

So get ready for this rich tour of art & culture and take the first step towards becoming an art entrepreneur.

MATERIAL WOULD BE PROVIDED IN THE WORKSHOP.
